Doggie Lama will always try to accommodate your dog’s medical and emotional needs. Medical needs might include seizures, pill administration, impaired vision, deafness, limited mobility and diabetes. If your dog was adopted through a shelter or is a rescue-your pet will also have special needs. Depending on the level of care needed, a custom quote may be necessary.

HOW DOES SHARED DAY CARE AND BOARDING WORK?
Doggie Lama’s unique shared day care and boarding service allows for pet parents to enjoy our top tier services and premises at a lower price point. Some dogs still need a more, gentle, serene environment but are more than happy to share with another compatible playmate. A Sniff n’Wag© is required for shared service to ensure compatibility.

HOW DO YOU SET YOUR FEES?
Doggie Lama’s goal is to be both competitively priced but also to offer the most personal level of service available in North Seattle. Our fees reflect this goal. Boarding is based on a 24-hour service and day care is based on a 12-hour period. There is 30-minute grace period. A late fee of $10 will be charged after the grace period. Additionally, if your dog has special needs – we are willing to design a custom quote depending on the level of care needed. If Doggie Lama is not available during the time frame that you need, we will do our very best to help you find a solution.
HOW AM I BILLED FOR SERVICE?
Once you are booked for service with Doggie Lama, you will receive an email confirmation that will also serve as a statement for your records. The MC or Visa you have provided will be billed or you can pay directly using your credit card or Pay Pal account.

Doggie Lama understands that this is an extremely difficult decision to make – but believe it is imperative to address as both an intelligent and compassionate preventative measure.
WHAT ARE THE HEALTH PROTOCOLS AT DOGGIE LAMA
Our interior space is professionally cleaned weekly with green cleaning products. All toys, water and food bowls are washed daily. Blankets and bedding that belong to Doggie Lama are washed prior to any first day dog visit. No pesticides are uses in the outdoor spaces and ground covers are either washable or made of organic materials.
HOW MUCH OUTDOOR TIME WILL MY DOG GET?
Being that this is Seattle, outdoor time will vary. The philosophy practiced at Doggie Lama is based on the belief that being outdoors, even for short periods of time over the course of a day is healthy for most dogs. There is the necessity for dogs to relieve themselves and the benefit of keeping their senses engaged. Sniffing, bird and squirrel sightings, hearing and feeling the wind-all are beneficial for dog health.
WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM TIME MY DOG WILL BE LEFT ALONE?
Doggie Lama is a home-based business. This means that dogs will spend a minimum time alone during business hours and no more that 3 hours alone during the evening.
WHAT IS YOUR BACK-UP STRATEGY IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY?
Doggie Lama has several emergency plans in place depending on the particular situation. If you are travelling we will have a complete itinerary on file so that the status of your flight can be tracked. If you miss a flight or a flight is delayed your dog will remain under the care of Doggie Lama until you able to pick him/her up. You can reach Doggie Lama by cell phone or by landline 24/7. Any dog that is not on the premises, either in transport or on a walk will be wearing a GPS dog-tracking collar by Garmin.
